Don't compare yourself to other people, compare yourself only to yourself.
Human Rating is the term that describes the way we judge and compare people including ourselves.
We are worried about the perceptions of others. Even people who are confident have the tendency to "mind read" and predict what someone is thinking about them. Usually when we read someone's mind we read it from a negative place. We assume the negative perspective.
When we compare ourselves to others, it's usually a "less than" comparison. When you compare yourself to others, you believe you're not good enough.
Use facts, not emotions. When you compare yourself to yourself, you need to use facts. "compared to yesterday, I ran two minutes longer". That's a fact.
Keep it fact based and in your prefrontal cortex.
